  I will give them more than 1 star; that is to say: it may have been merely a fluke ordeal... I went to see the doctor today for two reasons: 1. I have the symptoms of the flu. 2. I need refills on all the meds I am currently taking. I have not had a primary care doctor for a little while due to a new job and new insurance so when I called in yesterday to see if I could get an appointment, I explained it to the lady who answered the call as she asked me specifically the reason I needed to come in, brief medical history, and which medications I am taking currently. Then, when I arrived at the clinic today, I told the CNA, who took my vitals and did the preliminary questions before the doc showed up, exactly why I was there. She asked me to tell her the medications I was currently taking and even had a discussion about inhalers, as I am a chronic asthmatic. I pointed out to her that I had already written down which meds that I take on the info sheet she had which I filled out in the waiting room before being called back. She was entering everything i said into a laptop. I then spoke with the doctor and he diagnosed me with the flu, to which he did write me a script for Tamaflu; however, he completely disregarded all the meds I needed refilled, apparently. We even had a conversation about my asthma and it being the reason he was prescribing Tamaflu to me since normally he thought it didn't do much except for people with asthma. Finally, before I left I asked the nurse, who handed me my slip for missing work, if they had sent "everything" in to the pharmacy, and she said to give it a little time because they had to process it there first before they called it in. Long story indeed, but I detailed the encounter so that people can see that I stated what I needed numerous times both verbally and in writing. If my wife did not think so highly of this place, from several past visits, I would probably drop them. As it is, I will have to wait until Monday, when the doctor returns, to get the rest of my medicine. I might as well breathe through a wet paper bag.

  Dr. Hinds is a thoughtful and competent primary care physician with a good bedside manner. Been going to him for a while and always a good experience.
