  Stay away from the ER, if you want to be treated like a human being. Went to the ER as advised by my family doctor to have some tests performed due to some health concerns. During the visit, the doctor asked my husband and myself 5 times if we had HIV, and another 4 times if we had cheated on each other. Yes, you read that correctly; after clarifying that we do NOT have HIV and we do NOT sleep around, we are repeatedly asked the same questions. Called the next week for test results as instructed, and was told by the ER nurse that there wasn't anyone in the hospital who could read my results and to call back later. When I questioned how such a large hospital could be out of nurses, the lady informed me that she didn't have time to argue with me and hung up the phone. Naturally, I filed a complaint. I was told someone would contact me to further help with the situation. A few days go by, and I get a call from the hospital stating my results were ready. This person never clarified that they were calling on behalf of my complaint. After waiting another 2 weeks for a callback, I contacted the com plants department and was informed that they already contacted me about this issue. When I clarified that the person who called me gave no indication whatsoever about my complaint, they said that same person could call me back again, later...... Are you kidding me? My husband and I get interrogated about our monogamy and HIV status, I get hung up on, and this is the best I can get? A random call from someone saying "here is your test results"? I should have learned my lesson after my last visit a year ago; Apparently asking for assistance standing is a big no-no, even after they pump you full of morphine. Nurse just stepped back and held his hands in the air as to make sure he didn't touch me. Thanks for that.
